Applingua’s most useful iOS 8 feature
We’ve all been using iOS 8 for some months now and despite all the whizz-bang showcase features, it takes a while until your favourite feature really stands out.
For us, it’s Apple’s iOS language selection list. We’ve been translating apps for nearly four years now and we know by sight all of Apple’s previously supported languages. However iOS 8 introduced support for hundreds more and learning what each language is, without being able to copy and paste, is a real pain.
Fortunately Apple had the foresight to include a localized string underneath each language, which will always display in the phone’s language. It’s perfect for getting back to your native tongue after testing apps, saving Applingua lots of awkward time between languages. Thanks Apple!
